Diwali in Delhi NCR: Family Apartments Near Lajpat Nagar & GK

Diwali in Delhi means one thing: the entire family under one roof. For outstation relatives, or locals whose flat can’t fit fifteen people, a rented apartment near the action beats hotel rooms scattered across the city.

Stay near the family, not across the city

Lajpat Nagar, Greater Kailash, and CR Park are where most South Delhi Diwali gatherings happen. An apartment within 10 minutes means grandparents can rest between functions, kids can nap, and nobody misses the lakshmi puja because of traffic. Browse stays in South Delhi, our Lajpat Nagar and GK-II apartments are built for exactly this, or see all apartments in Delhi.

What a Diwali apartment needs

• A real kitchen. Mithai reheating, chai for twenty guests, early-morning pooja prasad, hotel rooms can’t do this. Confirm gas + utensils, not just a kettle.
• Parking for 2+ cars. Diwali week multiplies vehicles. Confirm slots before booking, especially in Lajpat Nagar’s crowded lanes.
• Extra mattresses, not just beds. Ask for the true sleeping capacity including floor bedding, Diwali groups always exceed the brochure number.
• Society firecracker rules. Most South Delhi societies restrict crackers to a time window or ban them entirely. Check before promising the kids a show.

Book early, Diwali sells out
