Weekend Getaways from Delhi: 7 Farmhouses & Villas Worth the Drive

Delhi runs on weekends. By Friday evening, half the city is searching the same thing: a farmhouse with a pool, less than 90 minutes away, that doesn’t turn out to be a scam. Here’s how to get it right.

Where to actually go

Chhatarpur & South Delhi (30–60 mins). Eight-plus verified farmhouses in Chhatarpur alone, plus Mehrauli pool villas, no highway needed. Best when half the group lives in South Delhi. See stays in South Delhi.

Gurugram’s Sohna Road belt (30–60 mins). Closer, pricier, better for one-night plans and bachelor parties where nobody wants a long drive back. See stays in Gurugram.

West Delhi (30–50 mins). Big apartments in Tilak Nagar and Rajouri Garden for joint families and functions where everyone wants to stay together. See stays in West Delhi.

What a fair price looks like

For a verified private-pool farmhouse sleeping 10–15, expect a wide range depending on season and day, Saturdays in December cost far more than a July weekday. What matters more than the number is what’s included: caretaker, power backup, pool cleaning, and whether events cost extra. Our party places with pool are all private-pool venues; on Eden’s Home the total including our 14% service fee is shown before you pay, compare that against “too good to be true” direct deals that add charges on arrival.

The 5-point checklist before you pay

1. Real photos, verified. Ask when the photos were taken. Our listings are personally verified, that single fact eliminates most fraud.
2. Pool & power in writing. “Pool available” means nothing; confirm it’s filled, clean, and usable on your dates, plus power backup for summer.
3. Guest count honesty. Include every child and every day visitor in your count. Extra overnight guests are the #1 cause of checkout disputes, see our house rules.
4. Cancellation tier. For weekends with uncertain plans, pick Easy-tier properties (full refund minus 5% fee, 24h deadline). Details in our cancellation policy.
5. Pay online, never cash. A booking is only confirmed with an online payment and confirmation number. Anyone asking for cash or a personal UPI transfer is a red flag.
